Evolution since its introduction has been met with opposition. This opposition occurs despite the overwhelming mutually supporting evidence: from fossils, geological dating, and genetics. Now, the creationist movement has re coined itself as “intelligent design,” claiming this designer helped fashion the world we see. These people simply do not see how our marvelous world could come to be without intelligence. No intelligence is need though; evolution elegantly explains how seemingly designed lifeforms can come to be through natural processes. Further, if the world is truly examined, poor design is rampant — to be expected from sheer blind forces of nature. If an “intelligent” designer did indeed create this universe, he/she did a poor job; you could say it was stupid design on their part.
